Where To Start? 

 
Okay, so what is the first step when it comes to getting in shape? I would say the most important thing is making a commitment and having a real desire to change your body. Most of you should already have that I hope; you would not be reading this if you didn’t have a desire to improve your physique.


The next step is to ignore anything you read in magazines on how to weight train, or friends who tell you how it is done. If you pick up any bodybuilding or fitness magazine they will have some of the training routines that the pro bodybuilders or athletes use. These workouts are more often than not marathons and would be catabolic in building muscle for the average Joe. What the magazines don’t tell you is that these athletes are on a ton of steroids and could get in shape just looking at dumbbells. And the chances are your friends who are telling you how to train have picked up most of the bad training habits passed on from people who have got them from magazines or from another misinformed source.

You will then need a diet and a workout program in place before you hit the gym. Each one is as important as the other. You cannot underestimate the importance of a diet in building the body you want, and the same goes for a solid workout plan. Each go hand in hand; without one or the other, you will never get the body you want. That is a fact.
