How To Do Swiss Ball Crunches

The swiss ball is an awesome tool at developing your abs and your body's core muscles. This is exercise is aimed at your upper-abs. Primary muscles used in this exercise are the lower-abs. Secondary muscles used in this exercise are the lower-abs and the obliques.

I highly recommend this exercise for abs as it will help build your body's core stabilising muscles also.

To perform swiss ball crunches sit on the edge of the swiss ball and then lay back with your back being in the centre of the ball. From this position lift your head and shoulders slightly up in the air and slowly begin to crunch moving your back forward. Lower yourself back down slowly in a controlled manner to the starting position. Repeat the process.

For extra resistance place a weight on your chest, this will make the exercise a little more difficult but will reduce the amount of reps you can do, making the exercise faster and more efficient.
