This is a machine based exercised aimed at the quadriceps. It is quite simple to peform and involves you sitting down on the machine, with you feet or ankles pressed against the pads and hands gripping the handles. 
 

Next extent your legs up until they are stretched straight forward. Control the weight back down slowly. Avoid going too far down as you do not want to put added pressure on your knees.
