How To Do Incline Bench Press

The best exercise you can do for your upper chest is the incline bench press. The primary muscles used in this exercise are the upper pectorals. Secondary muscles used are the mid and lower pectorals, front delts, traps, triceps, upper and lower back.

To perform the incline bench press you need to position yourself correctly on the bench. Your butt and shoulders should be firmly planted on the bench. From your butt to your shoulders your back should be comfortably arched.

Plant your feet firmly on the ground and grip the bar a little wider than shoulder width apart. Remove the bar from the rack and control the weight down slowly to the top of your chest coming as close as you can without touching. Drive the weight back up to the starting position and repeat process.
